The iSucceed Program is a select group of scholars working together to build and support one another’s academic and personal development.  In other words, we’re building community and supporting dreams!

What to Expect

iSucceed program scholars will be expected to meet once a week for two hours throughout the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 terms.  During this time, you will have access to a variety of interactive self-pace and in person seminars.  These seminars will be centered around building community, with an emphasis on dedicated study time, career and academic goal setting as well as personal development.

  • Check-in
  • Weeks 2-14: Each module can also be supported by a self-paced StudentLingo online workshop for which the student should complete before each session. Followed by a mini presentation hosted by either the Advising and Mentoring staff, the OMSA’s Tutoring and Academic Services staff and/or other campus collaborators:
  • Discuss progress on stated goal(s)
  • Dedicated work/study time
  • Share next steps towards completing any goals in progress or stating a new goal, if the current goal has been completed.
  • Building community

Should a student need more directed mentoring will either: (1) remain after the group to meet with the Student Success advisor or (2) if the student prefers the advisor will connect them with the OMSA’s drop-in advising and mentoring staff with availability as soon as the next day.

Benefits

At the end of the self-pace seminars, you will earn a certificate for each.

At the completion of the year, you will be eligible to earn a digital badge.
