Associate Director, TRIO Programs
Summary of Experience
I started at OMSA in November of 2018 however I have been working with TRIO programs for the past 21 years. I am an experienced Associate Program Director with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. I am skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Curriculum Development, Public Speaking, Program Development, and Grant Writing. I am a strong administrative professional with a Master's degree focused in Public Administration from Governors State University.

What OMSA Means to Me …
OMSA means to me it is a department with a long history of assisting first generation, low income and individuals from underrepresented groups to reach their academic goals at the University of Illinois. OMSA to me also means assisting underrepresented groups of students through the pre-college TRIO programs in securing admissions into other colleges and universities.
My hobbies revolve around my family, I am a devoted husband, father and grandfather. I am also a person of faith, whereas I serve as a Deacon and Youth Sunday School Teacher. I also enjoy sports and officiate varsity football, boys and girl varsity basketball and junior college women’s basketball.
